I have a deep-rooted passion for diverse artistic mediums, I'm exploring the realms of traditional and digital art.I'm a freelance artist, 24 years old and based in Italy. For years I've done private commission doing character design, illustration, murales, and more!Recently I've worked for Selection comunication and design, the creative agency who makes worldwide packaging for Perfetti VanMelle, the company of Chupa Chups, Mentos, Big babol, Alpenlibe and many others.

Why "Albavel"?
More time passes and more I find myself explaining this, especially since in some art related situations I started to present myself as Alba, but don’t get me wrong, I love explaining it when people ask.So here's the story:You have to know that my name Francesca comes from my grandma from my father's side and obviously I have my father's surname.
Apart from how I look and some of the culture I grew up with, I used to feel like I didn't have a strong connection with my mother’s side of the family. That's why, years ago, I chose my grandma (mother side) name and my mother surname to create an artistic alter ego.
So, Alba, my grandma name, and Velasquez, my mother's surname, combined they became Albavel.Depending on the situation I sometimes introduce myself as Alba, in art and with some friends that’s the name I go by, it’s my way of connecting with my Ecuadorian family and giving them a place in my life since they are so far away.

Recently I've worked as a Creative Designer for Selection comunication and design the creative agency who makes worldwide packaging for Perfetti VanMelle, the company of Chupa Chups, Mentos, Big babol, Alpenlibe and many others.
